Systems Engineer - Application Support Specialist (Unix, Java, C)

Chicago Suburb, IL

6 months+

Rate: $50/hr all inc.

 

Minimum 5+ Years experience required

Candidate should be experienced in troubleshooting both client server (C, Perl, Tuxedo) and J2EE web applications across various platforms.   

In addition, troubleshooting experience for Windows applications and systems is preferred. 

Candidate should be experienced in source code management and deployment tools and techniques. 

Candidate should have the ability to quickly learn about the various Pharmacy applications so as to support daily environment and application issues in Development.

 

Must Have

•        Application Support experience in Unix, Java, C

•        Development Experience is an advantage

•        Intermediate knowledge of SVN, SQL (Oracle), Unix/Linux commands and KSH scripting.

•        Intermediate knowledge of the following web development languages (HTML, PHP, PERL, and Javascript)

•        Experience with Tuxedo is a plus.

•        Good Communication and coordination experience.

•        Ability to manage and coordinate the work of others

•        Experience in planning, implementing, testing, and trouble-shooting systems software.

•        To identify, diagnose, and facilitate the resolution of environment support issues and build errors

•        To work independently and prioritize work with minimal supervision.

•        To communicate clearly and effectively.

•        To learn quickly and adapt in a fast paced support environment.

 

Like to have

•        Basic understanding of Pharmacy technology and concepts.

 

Good Team player, Excellent Analytical Skills, Ability to work under pressure, Good communication skills, Does continual learning.

 Bachelor's degree required with a emphasis in computer science preferred.
