Java Developer – Mid-level (5 - 8 years of experience)

Location: New York City, NY

Duration: Full Time

 

Job Description

The role involves the following:

• Design, Develop and MaintainBGC's Middle Office trade capture and post trade processing systems that handle a wide range of Fixed Income and Derivative asset classes (Treasury Swaps, TIPS, Corporate Bonds, MBS, US Repos, EM Bonds, International Bonds, FX Spots and Forwards, FX Options, NDFs, IRS, CDS to name a few)
• Integrate trade flows to/from external systems for revenue reporting, settlement and straight through processing
• Database programming
• Debug and troubleshoot applications
• Optimize system performance
• Interact with frontoffice, operations and backoffice staff during various stages of product development
• Assist in translating business requirements into a system spec
• Assist QA team in enhancing test automation suites
• Provide second level support when issues are escalated to the development
