This resource must be local to the DC/MD/VA area and be available for a F2F interview.
This person will be building out an Automation Harness and will need core enterprise Java development skills. This contractor will be responsible for design and development of an automation harness leveraging core java development technologies to support Web, Web Services/Messaging (synchronous & asynchronous) application test automation.
Role and Responsibilities:
Develop BDD style test automation harness leveraging Java, Selenium Web Driver, and Cucumber
Create a generic framework and necessary libraries to support the framework. Ensure extensibility and reuse for other enterprise applications.
Develop and maintain automation for UI (Web) test scenarios
Develop and maintain automation for synchronous and asynchronous services (SOAP/REST services, TIBCO EMS, etc.)
Develop back end validation to support automation test scenarios
Will be responsible for delivering in sprint automation solution in an aggressive agile environment
Integrate automation solution to continuous integration environment like Jenkins
Develop reporting and logging framework which can integrate with HP Quality Center
Define, develop and implement best practices like source control management, packing, coding standards, and code reusability
Create documentation for framework, development standards, deployment standards and on boarding new resources
Must have:
Strong core Java development skills
Experience developing and testing SOA products
Experience using open source automation tools and frameworks like Selenium Web Driver, JUnit/TestNG
Strong understanding of version control using Subversion
Strong understanding of dependency management using Maven
Experience using Continuous Integration environment like Jenkins
Experience working in an agile environment
Strong understanding of RDBMS skills and hands on skills in SQL, PL/SQL
Adaptable and willing to work in a fast paced environment
Nice to have:
Experience in writing and automating BDD style test cases written in Gherkin
Experience using BDD tools like Cucumber, Fitnesee or similar
