Siebel Developer Overview:

 

Summary:  Responsible for utilizing information technology to analyze, design, implement and maintain complex to very complex components of information systems that support business operations. Works closely with the architecture team in the implementation of the technical, application and data architectures for a system.

 

Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:  Develops and unit tests new functionality within Siebel including user interfaces, integration to external systems, XML/XSL, database design, eScript, CTI, web services, SmartScripts, workflows, etc.  Troubleshoots and repairs existing defects. Creates and presents design documents for all enhancements. 4. Provides technical support for existing Siebel applications. Creates and presents conceptual design for use case reviews.  Conducts peer code reviews.  Enter time in time tracking application on a daily basis.  Attend development team / all NGD meetings as necessary.

 

Education/Experience/Skills Required:   Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.  Siebel SmartScripts, Siebel Workflow, Siebel Assignment Manager, Siebel Correspondence, Siebel/Genesys CTI, XML/XSLT, Siebel Task Based UI and Siebel Open UI required. 

 

Specific Skills/Experience:  Ability to work within a team-based environment to accomplish team-based goals. Strong Siebel 8 development background (3+ years) including in-depth experience with Siebel eScript and real-time integration with back-end data systems.  Relational database background (Oracle preferred). Ability to design and build Siebel components and integration based on Use Case requirements. Proven ability to document work and work in process driven development environment. Strong oral and written communication skills
