· Knowledge in Costing, BOM, WIP, sourcing, isupplier is desirable.

Job Description: Technical Architect, Store Digital Systems
Summary
Client is looking for a talented and motivated software architect to provide technical leadership of architecture, technical design, implementation, and support activities for in-store digital systems. Store digital consists of kiosks and mobile devices that are used by client staff (the Cast) as well as customers (Clients) to make optimal purchase decisions for beauty products. Current applications include product finders for skincare, fragrance, and color. A major new initiative for 2013, in collaboration with Pantone color matching, is now entering the discovery phase; perfect timing for someone in this role to join the team!
Role
Client uses 3rd party vendors for much of the development work on Store Digital. The Architect, Store Digital Systems, will collaborate with business and IT staff at Client, our partners, and vendors, to review business and functional requirements, drive architecture and technical design, and ensure that proposed solutions will solve Client's business needs as well as being extensible for future growth. The emphasis for this role is to drive quality of the solution through good architecture and design practices, by reviewing proposals and deliverables, and establishing best practices. There will be a need to help debug issues and occasionally write code, but for the most part this is not a hands-on developer position.
Qualifications
A successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:
· Extensive experience with architecture, technical design, and hands-on development in iOS
· Extensive use of mobile device management (MDM) solution, especially AirWatch
· Experience with other mobile platforms, and kiosk platforms, is desirable
· Excellent javascript, java development, and object-oriented design skills
· Broad knowledge of networking and UNIX server platforms
· Extensive experience integrating mobile devices with disparate back ends and vendors – using services and/or data feeds - and debugging the inevitable issues that arise
· In-depth knowledge of databases, Oracle preferred
· Excellent written and spoken communications
· Excellent documentation skills
· Ability to work in a dynamic team environment, with a mix of local and remote resources
· Bias for getting things done, overcoming obstacles, taking ownership of difficult problems, critical but constructive discussion, keeping a positive attitude
