$55/hr all inc.

 

Job Description: 8yrs experience required.

Main responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Oracle Warehouse Builder (OWB) repository creation/configuration/monitoring, mapping/process flow development, OMB Scripting, deployments – some data modeling (via Erwin)

Interpreting and implementing business requirements for ETL development

Performing in depth unit testing for all enhancements/new development – including data analysis for verification of accuracy and performance tuning for optimal execution

Adhering to existing ETL development and load management Standards and Processes

Managing timely written and verbal communication on project progress, load status, issue tracking, and concerns for management attention and/or escalation

 

Required Skills:

Detail-oriented

Strong Communication Skills (verbal and written)

Strong Coordination Skills

5 years PL/SQL Experience

5 years OWB ETL Experience (code/debug/fix/QA Prod issue)

Strong Data Analyst Skills (Oracle-SQL,PL/SQL - DB2 a plus)

Strong ETL Architecture Skills (Kimball Methodology)

 

Required Experience Details:

Knowledge and application of Kimball Methodology in an Oracle 10g or 11g environment leveraging OWB 10gR2 or 11gR2 including Star/Snowflake Schema.

In-depth experience creating and configuring OWB repositories including separate test and production repositories, configuring user accounts, creating multiple configurations (dev/test/production), creating connectors and registering locations, etc.

Knowledge of best practices for OWB mapping versioning

Use of loading and extract hints in OWB Mappings

Knowledge of configuration features for Mapping Objects, Mappings, and Process Flows including but not limited to target loading properties, Mapping load types (set based vs. row based and fail-over), parallelism, etc.

Knowledge of best practices for reproc/audit-balance control implementation in ETL (OWB error-tables)

OMB Scripting expertise – specifically for creating deployment scripts

In-depth knowledge of navigation and uses of OWB RAB and Control Center.

 

Preferred Skills:

Experience with TOAD (Oracle/DB2)

Experience with ERWIN or similar data modeling tool

Experience with ETL Load Tuning and Automation

Production Support; especially with load management and automation
