Role                                       : Business System Analyst

Location                               : Windsor, CT(LOCAL)

Duration                              : 10 Months contract

 

MANDATORY:

-banking industry

-web experience

-must be able to do phone screen and personal. Skype is not an option.

 

1) 5 + years as a BA/SA or a Technical BA

2) Must have WEB experience and knowledge

3) QA knowledge

4) Financial, Retirement, and/or Banking experience would be beneficial. (If they did not have these industries, they may consider folks, BUT they would need extensive experience in Skills #1-#3.)

 

Job Description:                              

BSA or Technical BA: (THIS IS NOT A FUNCTIONAL BA POSITION) - BA/SA with WEB knowledge.

Lead requirements sessions and produce functional requirements documentation, encompassing business and functional requirements and/or data requirements as needed

Must have Web Knowledge

Define and document business requirement and/or functional design requirements for multiple applications supporting a Retirement Plan processing environment

Meet with subject matter experts to identify and document all system requirements

Conduct walkthroughs of all completed specifications with the team to make sure the documentation is complete and development estimates are accurate

Support QA testing of the release items

Communicate status of project milestones to Project Manager

Facilitate issue tracking, analysis and resolution throughout project lifecycle

Anticipate hurdles to deliverable deadlines, notify Project manager and suggest options

Review systems designs and validate their coverage of outlined business requirements

 

Additional Information:                              

They have a prioritized list of the systems that need to be converted, but now need a team of technical analysts to come and determine both the functional and technical requirements. This is an extremely important project for the entire organization, and has a go-live date of October 2014.

 

Work Environment:                       

This person will need to have presentation skills...

BS/BA degree

5+ years related experience

Ability to translate business requirements to technical resources supporting the project

Experience with project life cycle (Waterfall / Agile)

Self-motivated with strong analytical, research and problem-solving skills

Strong oral and written communications abilities

Proven ability to work cooperatively and effectively with business and systems personnel

Ability to work independently and
