The suggestion that "math" can or should be used to teach music is interesting; and, I am curious to learn, specifically, how music teachers incorporate math and math concepts to teach music. Also, some idea as to the results (evaluation) gained, as interpreted by said teachers. Are there specific areas of music pedagogy where math concepts are particularly helpful, e.g., interpretation, improvisation, software applications, metric articulation, etc. What has been your experience with using math concepts to teach music?
