نہ کوئی عید مبارک، نہ گلے ملتا ہے

جیسے کیچڑ ہوں میں، ہر ایک یونہی بچتا ہے

ماں سے کتنا ہے کہا عید منائیں ہم بھی 

ہوا رمضان ختم، بھوک مٹاٰئیں ہم بھی

ماں ہے خاموش تو اللہ سے دعا کرتا ہوں

جب تلک میں نہ کہوں عید نہ آنے دینا

نہ مری عید کبھی چاند کے تابع کرنا

جب مرا پیٹ بھرے عید منانے دینا

دل کو یہ ضد ہے کہ اب عید مناوں میں بھی

کوئی اس دل سے کہے دل نہ جلائے میرا
