Title: Core Java Developer
Our financial services client is hiring two Core Java developers for a 12 month + contract in Jersey City. This role requires someone experienced with multi-threading on the server side. Skills are: J2EE, Spring, Caching. Oracle Coherence is a plus.
We can only consider candidates who have financial services background.
Essential Experience
- Strong Core Java (multithreading & server side Java/J2EE)
- Spring
- Maven
- XML/XSLT
- Financial services background
Ideal Experience
- Oracle Coherence
- BASH Scripting
- Eclipse (specifically Springsource Tool Suite)
- IBM MQ (JMS an advantage)
- RTC
- Oracle 10g+ incl SQL & PL/SQL
- UML
- Drools
- Development Methodologies: Agile with Scrum, Pair Programming, Test Driven Development
ESSENTIAL SKILLS/COMPETENCIES
- Ability to work with a project team in multiple locations around the world
- Self motivated individual who is enthusiastic and has proven fast learning capability
- Ability to work with minimal supervision on own initiative and on multiple tasks simultaneously within an Agile/Scrum framework.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to learn and quick to adapt to changing requirements
- Proactive approach to identifying issues and presenting solutions and options
- Ability to work with a project team in multiple locations around the world
