Travel QA consultant

Probably start date – within 1-2 weeks

Travel and remote work – travel all over to different states (paid for by client)

Status:  USC OR GC ONLY
New York City NY

Location:  With the travel the candidates can be from anywhere in the US.

Duration:  Approx. 12 months+ (They will be working 5-7 weeks "sessions" then off for a week or two and then another 5-7 weeks for a year or more)

Technical skills required:

• Expert-level, hands-on, real world understanding of Visual Studio 2013 (or higher) Testing Tools
• Test Management
• Test Automation
• Web Performance (Load) Testing
• Unit Testing
• Deep understanding of n-tier application architecture
• PowerShell is nice to have for some automation tasks

Soft skills required:

• Technical documentation / communication
• Ability to work within a team of focused SME's
• Ability to communicate and plan with client, quickly learn the business and application, and hit the ground running with planning on week

• General communication (English, native-level understanding of our speaking/conversational)
• Confirm their willingness to travel – 75%
• Confirm their experience with Visual Studio test manager, C# for 'custom' tests outside of Visual Studio test manager
• Confirm experience defining Test Strategy for application testing (more of a high level concept than any single concrete thing here – similar to the difference between and Architect and a Developer)
• A "nice to have" would be some experience performing testing in one of the following scenarios – although not a show stopper if not:
• SharePoint solutions
• Dynamics AX solutions
• Experience as the 'quality lead' on multiple engagements
