Description:
Connect Search is seeking a a SalesForce Developer/Administrator for our direct technology client in downtown Chicago. You would be responsible for leading design, architecture, development, optimization and ongoing support of our enterprise Salesforce.com CRM solution supporting our client's Sales and Service organization. You must be comfortable working in a fast paced and changing environment.
Main responsibilities
• Participate in storyboarding and solution design sessions within all areas of the company.
• Recommend alternate approaches, identify and define technical impacts, and provide sizing and effort estimates.
• Collaborate on and inform cross-functional teams of new features, technical designs, technical requirements, limitations, and implementation barriers of potential solutions.
• Perform unit testing, integration testing, and performance testing of new product functionality. Demonstrating strong debugging skills.
• Analyze and mitigate issues identified during testing.
• Manage the development of customized tools that Sales/Finance teams can use to extract data and gather insights for daily business management in an automated manner.
• Develop and test business logic using Workflows, Validation rules and Approval Processes.
• Follow an iterative software development methodology and contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle and support.
• Translate business objectives to technical requirements.
• Articulate development status to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Develop, maintain, and prepare custom reports and dashboards
• SFDC Technical Support for all areas of the company.
• Directs and enforces security controls.
Technical skills required
• Proficiency (and knowledge of) on Salesforce.com platform - Force.com, APEX, Visualforce, Salesforce APIs, SOAP or REST, database triggers, and other technologies.
• Certifications preferred (or working towards) should include: Developer, Advanced Developer, or Administrator
• Administration of SFDC instances including object and field definition, structure, documentation, long range requirements, operational guidelines, protection and licensing
• Understand point-and-click capabilities of salesforce platform in order to build custom applications including knowledge of standard objects, custom objects, and user interface components.
• Expert in Reporting and Dashboard creation
• Knowledge of Professional Services Automation, Financial Force Accounting/Financial Force Reporting
• Other tools utilized on the SFDC platform – Marketo, Discover.org, TAS – Target Account Selling
Additional Requirements
• 2+/4+ years' experience Salesforce.com design and development.
• Ability to quickly connect business requirements with the functional capabilities of the application.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to summarize and present findings or challenges to all levels of staff and management
• Ability to work well as a member of a growing team
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Knowledge within Sales, Finance, & Marketing departments
• Proficient Office 365/ MS Office
• BS in Computer Science or equivalent
