Required Skills

·         more of a background towards IT v statistician.

·         Strong SAS programming abilities

·         UNIX skills

·         Enterprise Guide

 

Summary

Work around a next generation Statistical Controlled Environment (SCE) Program that will help reduce costs and speed drug development to client's customers. 

 

·         Has actively participated in phase-2, 3, & 4 clinical trial analysis activities

·         Has extensive experience with coding in the SAS language, with knowledge of creating SAS macros and SAS processes that execute multiple SAS programs and/or macros

·         Has knowledge of, and experience with:

o        PC-SAS

o        Server-based SAS

o        Enterprise Guide

o        SAS Grid (ideally)

·         Is able to offer viable technical solutions to meet critical business needs in the SCE space

 

·         Optionally, this individual will also have:

o        Knowledge of accessing environments from global locations

o        Knowledge of accessing environments via virtual networks such as Citrix

o        Knowledge of non-SAS technologies such as R and Spotfire

o        Knowledge of, and experience using, SAS Drug Development (SDD) and associated tools such as:

·         SDD Desktop Connection Tool

·         SDD Application Program Interfaces (APIs)

·         WebDAV and MQ file transfer protocols

 

This stat-analyst will be expected to:

·         Liaise with statisticians, stat analysts and other non-IT staff to understand current work activities and help ensure SCE solutions meet clinical statisticians needs

·         Validate (from business user perspective) proof-of-concepts, prototypes, and system builds/releases

·         Establish optimal environment settings and configurations

·         Create business use-cases designed to enable in-depth system evaluations, including coding and creation of test data

·         Create and/or execute test scripts involving any of the above referenced environments, tools, and technologies
